ELECTRONICS CLEANROOMS

ELECTRONICS CLEANROOMS

ELECTRONICS CLEANROOM BENEFITS

Contamination is a huge source of production issues and product failure for electronics and microelectronics, making ESD cleanrooms critical for the manufacture and packaging of products. Electronics and semiconductor cleanroom environments, along with battery dry rooms, must be engineered to control static, particulate matter, out-gassing, and other sources of contamination and compromising conditions. Cleanrooms help maintain a controlled environment free from contaminants, dust, and static electricity, ensuring the quality and reliability of electronic devices.

Our electronics cleanroom offerings balance environmental control with flexibility, ranging from the extremely high level of control over static, humidity, contamination, and pressure offered by our HardWall cleanrooms to our versatile and compact, ISO Class 8 to Class 5 capable SoftWall cleanrooms and our RigidWall cleanrooms that strike a balance between the two.

ELECTRONICS CLEANROOM DESIGN

Angstrom Technology designs and installs quality electronics cleanrooms and dry rooms that incorporate all the necessary controls for manufacturing and packing electronic devices, including gas cabinets and panels, air filtration systems, N2 generators, hazardous gas detection, high purity piping, and deionized water systems, along with a variety of efficient lighting options.

There are a number of key considerations in designing and constructing electronics cleanrooms. The primary goal in most cleanrooms is particulate control, so factors like airflow patterns, temperature and humidity control, and HEPA or ULPA filtration systems, will all be taken into account by our specialist design team. In electronics cleanrooms, electrostatic discharge (ESD) can harm sensitive products. Specialized materials and surfaces, such as wall systems and flooring systems, to minimize particle generation and risks can provide a suitable level of ESD control.

Electronics cleanrooms help prevent defects, improve yield rates, increase product reliability, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. Cleanroom environments with ESD-safe workstations are crucial for sensitive electronic processes such as microelectronics, semiconductors, and medical device manufacturing.

ELECTRONICS CLEANROOM STANDARDS

As well as the International Cleanroom Standard, ISO 14644, your electronics cleanroom may be required to meet additional industry standards and certifications, such as IEST-RP-CC001, and NEBB Cleanroom Performance Testing. Compliance with these standards ensures the quality and reliability of the cleanroom environment.

Compliance with these recommended practices helps in maintaining the integrity of the controlled environment and ensuring the quality of products or processes carried out within the cleanroom. Specific industry standards and regulations may also be required based on the nature of the application and regional requirements.

We have a dedicated global compliance team who will be able to work with you to ensure our cleanroom design is compliant with the applicable regulations.
